On the 26th of September 2006 about six families that were left homeless by the disaster at Ngqeleni Squatter Camps (informal settlements)
The four families that were found were taken to Ngqeleni Town Hall also the Municipality has assisted the victims with buying the blankets and giving them something to eat for Breakfast and Lunch. The amount that was involved in buying the blankets was R700. 00
